A Mayan Adventure

Tomorrow morning I’ll be boarding a plane for a hasty trip to Mexico! People get excited when they hear I’m going to Cancun, but I’ll only be there for about 45 minutes; after that I’ll be busy driving five hundred miles into the Mexican Yukon (eastern Tabasco). I hope I’ll be able to see some interesting things along the way, and visit some Mayan temple ruins, but sadly this is not a pleasure trip.

Here is the chart for my arrival:

Hey, it looks like the moon has joined what I’m now fondly calling the “detox stellium” (hat tip to Molly), square that separating Mars/Venus conjunction. This visit is for a rather spontaneous family wedding next week, with a lot of fortuitous events making it possible for me to even attend, so I’m not surprised that wild-card Uranus is busy here. It appears I have some interesting astro-geo stuff going on in the area also. Astrodienst writes:

Chiron in Zenith
at Same Latitude

More beneficial on the eastern side of the line.

The MC line represents the realisation of lifetime goals and the safeguarding of important social standing. Connection with planet Chiron leads to fundamental changes of your personal views regarding these. Traditional value systems lose their meaning, your ideals dissolve and your ideas of success or a career start to transform.

This change is mainly due to some deep personal crises whose origin lies in connection with professional disappointments. A feeling of not being able to complete your tasks can add to your insecurity.

You query the sense and purpose of your previous activities. In the process, you become aware of the overriding influence of your parents as well as other authority figures in your choice of a career. You feel manipulated and rebel against all expectations in search of your own destiny.

Far from all convention, you enter a new field. You gain insights from humanistic and psychological teaching as well as esoteric understandings. Your personal wishes and egotistically motivated interests become less important. That is why these regions are particularly suited to the healing professions. You experience an increase in energy as well as recognition and acceptance.

The other main piece says

Venus/IC Line

More beneficial on the western side of the line.

Along this line, you will find ideal places for relaxation, peace and quiet. Creative people can retreat from the hectic pace of everyday life and find a new creativity within themselves. If you are looking for a place to retire in, then a closer look at these places could well be worth your while.

You are surrounded by familiar things, trusted people, and enjoy the pleasantness of an environment, which constantly soothes your senses. Terms such as homeliness, home and security gain a deeper meaning. Perhaps it is your intention to find a permanent abode, or you would like to have children and start a family.

This and other issues benefit along the Venus/IC line. You easily find a place to live, and after a stay along this axis, you return home with lots of new ideas for beautifying your home. You develop a new sense of style and delight in interior decorating, or take a new pleasure in gardening and housework

and

Uranus/IC Line

More beneficial on the eastern side of the line.

Along this axis, the focus is on the renewal of your personal point of view. Important areas from which you have derived your sense of security and deeply held convictions, are called into question. Sudden changes and severe measures are likely to influence your private family life. You might change your place or town of residence several times.

Quite often, there can be uncontrolled, emotional outbursts, whose origin relates to profound, psychological blocks. Your psychological irritability and nervousness can threaten your professional life.

Unrest and excitement dominate your daily life. You wish to be independent but, at the same time, the circumstances of your life can be so unstable that you lack the necessary basis for your desire of freedom.

Along this line, it is highly unlikely that you will grow any roots or decide to stay. But it is still possible to live in some alternative community or cooperative with people who share your own convictions. Here, you want to remain flexible, and you will find your family more in like-minded individuals than in blood relations.

People with strong ties to their parents or their home, and who have trouble letting go of strong and loving attachments, can take a chance here at gaining their independence.

I normally don’t quote at length; I’m inexperienced with astrogeography so I don’t want to paraphrase. But the idea of getting a bit of creative retreat out of the trip is appealing! I’ve also really stayed away from all the 2012 material because so many fruitcakes have hopped on that bandwagon, but after cramming for this trip I’m curious about the archaeological aspect of it.

Debriefing next week!

Oh crap, heh, oops… Mercury in Aries here tries to read too fast and misses stuff. Like the astroclick travel lines you posted.

One of my teachers, Lynn Koiner, tells me folks have experienced major healings on Chiron lines.
