Big news!
Signs of Potential, at least in blog form, is a year old this week! I started a trickle of writing here in May 2009 and things have grown steadily for me since.
I read tarot and worked some charts professionally before I started this site, but I began working as Signs of Potential beginning in 2008, when Pluto moved into Capricorn and trined my midheaven and my moon in rapid succession. As this was my first set of “beneficial” Pluto transits, I was driven to read everything I could get my hands on, and reworked my relationship to Pluto in a personal and a professional way. Some amazingly important people came into my life around this time also, giving me the confidence that I could be an astrologer without being a… well, a fruitcake. I really don’t like the term “lightworker” but I met and got to know a lot of people through 2008 and the early part of 2009 who were real pros in many different healing arts, and I developed a new respect for certain things that I previously found pretty nutty.
Not to say that I became a a purple-robe-wearing woo master, because I didn’t. And I still am not into that scene. But there is a time and a place for a lot of those things, and I grudgingly admit I’ve found real merit in some of it.
Ach, Pluto, you’re the planet I love to hate and hate to love.
May has been a big month for me so far, and with the sun shining on all my regular Taurus juice and the new moon falling in my 10th, I’m finally starting to find my footing.
More big news!
I have officially retired the day job. I love being in the kitchen and might find something else at some point to keep my knives and my brain sharp, but it’s time for me to devote more of my love and time and energy to YOU, my lovely people. Every one of you whom I’ve had the opportunity to talk to and work with over the past year has brought something new to my practice, taught me something new, and helped me become better at what I do. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to make the world a little better through my work here.
While I didn’t plan it this way at all, it’s fitting that I’m taking this leap into the unknown, the week my site is a year old… what a long strange trip it’s been. Cheers to you!

Congratulations on one year! It’s an incredible leap that you’re making quitting your day job. Wow- good luck!

Thanks Michelle! It’s pretty terrifying, and it has only been… four days? But I was starting to get clubbed over the head with signs that it was time.
GREAT avatar there, by the way. Awesome
