Late last night I stumbled upon Bindu Wiles and her lovely site, with a project that instantly fired up my creative juices. The idea is that for 21 days, you practice some kind of yoga for 5 days of each week, and write 800 words a day. How marvelous is that?
I had already written a heavy wordcount yesterday, so even though I’m officially on the bandwagon a day late I’m not feeling icky about it. Neither should you– if you want to join, don’t worry about the date.
And if you’re already doing it, hello!
I’ll either be writing here, or on 750words.com. Hopefully both. And I’m lucky enough to be living in Seattle again, where there are two yoga studios on my block and a third not much farther… but I’m a hermit lately so there’s a good chance it will just be me and a rug or my Shiva Nata DVD on most days.
I’m not even sure what I plan to get out of it. I already write every day now… although I’m terrible at doing any kind of purposeful movement often. But I saw it and thought zomg I have to do this, so here we are. Whee!

This looks and sounds amazing…Hmmm, I’m being inspired. This unfamiliar feeling is starting to get REALLY comfortable. : )
Hooray! Do it, Elana. You know you want to…

Thanks for the Vistaprint suggestion! I ordered a set from them; hopefully they turn out well.
I saw that project. It sounded intriguing. I like the idea of yoga (well, at least of considering Shiva Nata as the yoga) but am somewhat lazy about the writing.
@Elizabeth Looking forward to seeing them!
I used to be really uptight about these sorts of sort-term pushes, but I think I get more out of them now that I don’t track my activities religiously. Like for this one, I’m more mindful about my writing, and I’m doing yoga more that I was (which was pretty much never) and so if I hit five days a week, awesome. If I miss a day, not the end of the world.
Not anymore, at least. Even a year ago, my Capricorn south node would have been making a spreadsheet to check off…
