Last week on my birthday I started a new project. I’ve kept it under wraps for a week, but I’m ready to show you my baby now.
Every day, I’m creating a mind map or some kind of visual process. Then I’ll upload it to Flickr, and post it here. I’ll be doing this for the next three months, until January 22, 2011. Jupiter moves into Aries on that day too, but I totally did not plan that. Just got lucky.
I will still be writing regular posts as well, so there will often be two posts a day here instead of one.
You can see the first set here:
I’m really interested in your feedback on this. Let me know what you think! And if you decide to join in, be sure to send me a link so I can see what you’re up to.

Hi, Very interesting to me, please keep us posted. I have Jup/Uranus 12H grand water trine to Saturn/5H to Merc 9H and I have continual instant insights daily. The challenge is trying to capture them and hold them in the world. I’ve tried journaling. writing them down in a planner. You name it I’ve tried it. Lucky for me my mind has good recall of events.
Wow, that must put Jupiter and Uranus close to your ascendant then? I’m happy you’re enjoying the series.

As a visual conceptual thinker,I’m seriously loving this. I’ve always make mind maps for all planning (even sketches of clothing before I pack for a trip!)I like that you’re willing to share your process but I’m envisioning something bigger like a BOOK.

Thanks Layla! I’m pretty relentlessly visual (sometimes to the point of annoying myself) so I think this will be an interesting process. I like your vision… time to think big about things.

I strenuously discourage you from doing this. It’s a classic case of “goal displacement.” You are displacing time and effort you could spend on useful activities with unproductive planning activities. In the time it took you to design that page about washing dishes and cleaning the house, you could have spent half an hour actually washing dishes and cleaning the house. But since you end up with pretty drawings, it seems like you’ve accomplished something, even though you haven’t. This is an advanced form of procrastination. I know it well, I am a master procrastinator.
That’s funny, because I actually did wash the dishes and clean the house afterward. But thanks; I think they’re pretty too.
“Productive” vs. “unproductive” can be subjective. What did you do today?

How convenient for you to judge everyone by your own standards and skills, alleviating the need for compassion, understanding and consideration.
It’s nice to hear how content you are with doing 70 hours of work, plus your extra curricular activities. I admire your zeal in helping people retain their voting status. If you are truly happy, I am happy for you, but not all people function that way. You claim to read a few astrology blogs a day, but do they sink in?
After 23+ years as a professional astrologer, the lessons I have learned involve understanding that people have different goals and methods, and that’s exactly as it should be. I wash my dishes once a week and spend half my day staring into space. I do a 30 minute nap everyday with my cat. I am happy & fulfilled and earn enough to support myself. Sometimes I volunteer at the local animal rescue center. I am obviously not type A. You seem to be. Viva la difference.
